John Cortez Short (Johnny B) was born December 25, 1991 in Chicago, Illinois to Leslie Ann Joseph and John Westley Short. John attended Tilden High School where he fell in love with playing basketball.
John departed his life at an early age on August 26, 2015 at 8:19 P.M. The Lord called upon him saying "come home my child, a job well done."
John was a family man who was always quiet and stayed to himself. He also loved to play basketball in his spare time.
John is preceded in death by his father, John Westley Short; his grandmother, Beverly Short; his great-grandparents Cora Mae and George Joseph, Sr. & his uncles, Samuel, Willie and Michael Joseph.
John leaves to mourn his memory: His mother, Leslie Ann Joseph; three sisters, Latoya Joseph, Jalliyah and Joann Newton; two brothers, Devin Polk and Walter Short; two sons, Deonta and Jakwon Short; two unborn children; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
